Learn Japanese You Can Actually Use
The class focuses on Japanese for situations you can imagine yourself in.
You might practice ordering at a restaurant, understanding what someone asks you at a convenience store, asking about business hours, shopping, using transportation, or talking about your day.
The Conversation Class materials include practical Japanese for situations you may actually experience while living in or traveling around Japan.

Conversation is not only about knowing what the words mean.
You also work on pronunciation and everyday expressions, so Japanese becomes something you can hear, say out loud, and begin using with other people.

You Don’t Have to Know What to Talk About
Some people hear “conversation class” and imagine walking into a room and being told:
“Okay, talk.”
That is not how this class works.
The lesson already gives you a situation and Japanese to work with, so you do not need to prepare a topic or invent a conversation before you arrive.
You can simply listen, practice, and give Japanese a try.
Take Japanese Out Into Okinawa
Something you practice in class may suddenly show up again in everyday life.
A phrase from class may sound familiar at a restaurant. You might recognize a question at a store, understand a little more of what someone says, or realize that you already know how to ask for something you need.
Those small moments are part of what makes learning Japanese in Okinawa fun.
Japanese starts feeling less like something you only study and more like something that is becoming part of your life here.
More Than a Japanese Class
Class may end for the day, but the people, conversations, and reasons to keep using Japanese don’t always have to end there.
The connection doesn’t have to disappear when the lesson ends.

With Flex, you choose the number of lessons you want, then book from the Japanese classes available on the weekly schedule.
You can join Conversation classes when they are available, mix them with other Japanese classes, study at a relaxed pace, or use a larger Flex plan to create a more intensive schedule.
