Once you know what you want to study, the next question is how Japanese class will fit into your schedule.
This page brings together the weekly class schedule, school calendar, tuition, Fixed and Flex options, registration fee, materials, and current enrollment choices.
There are three things to decide:
1. Your Course
What Japanese you want to study
2. Your Lesson Style
How you want to learn
3. Fixed or Flex
How you want to attend and pay
Ready to start?
Before comparing tuition, look at when Japanese classes are available during the week.
Beginners 1 and Conversation 1 Lecture / Intensive-Lecture alternate during the year.
Flex students can book from Japanese classes available on the weekly schedule.

Start with what you want Japanese class to help you do.
Practical speaking, pronunciation, listening, and everyday expressions
Build the Japanese foundation
Say more about everyday life and keep conversations going
Explain experiences, reasons, feelings, comparisons, and opinions in more detail
Prepare specifically for JLPT N5, N4, or N3
If you have studied Japanese before and are unsure where your current Japanese fits, compare the actual vocabulary, grammar, and examples before choosing.
Your course tells you what you study.
Your lesson style tells you how you learn it.

Your Lesson Style and your attendance/payment option are separate choices.
Fixed
Same scheduled days and times. The lesson quantity is set by the plan. Best for a regular weekly routine. Missed lessons cannot be made up.
Flex
Book available lessons and choose your coupon quantity. Best for changing schedules or a custom study frequency. Coupons can be returned when cancelled more than 24 hours ahead.
If you are still deciding between courses or lesson styles, you do not have to choose Fixed or Flex yet.
At Blue House Okinawa, the Fixed Schedule Class offers a simple, dependable way to study Japanese: attend class on the same days and times every week. This clear structure helps you stay consistent, build lasting habits, and make real progress—without having to plan or rebook every time.

Flex gives you more control over when, how often, and which available Japanese classes you attend.
Choose the number of lesson coupons you want for a four-week subscription period, then use those coupons to book Japanese classes available on the weekly schedule.
Depending on current availability, that can include:
Flex can therefore work for someone who only wants a few lessons — or someone who wants Japanese to become a major part of a short stay.
If you are considering Flex mainly because you want to move through a structured course at your own pace, it may help to understand Self-Paced first.
Choose how much Japanese class time you want during the next four weeks.
6,100 Yen/Lesson - 1 lesson a month.

Flexible Schedule Tuition

Busy with unpredictable work hours, family commitments, travel, or an ever-changing schedule?
Flex 4 gives you four lesson coupons over a four-week subscription period, making it possible to keep studying without reserving the same class time every week.
One simple way to use Flex 4 is approximately one lesson per week.
Week 1
Example: 1 lesson
Week 2
Example: 1 lesson
Week 3
Example: 1 lesson
Week 4
Example: 1 lesson
You do not have to use your four coupons in this exact pattern.
If one week is busy, you can arrange the lessons differently within the subscription period, subject to availability and the booking rules.
Want to see how Self-Paced can work when your schedule changes from week to week?
Flex can also be used in the opposite way.
Flex 32 gives you 32 lesson coupons over a four-week subscription period, allowing you to build a high-frequency schedule from Japanese classes available during your subscription period.
Daytime
Example: 1 available lesson
Evening
Example: 1 available lesson
Frequency
Example: 4 days per week
4-Week Total
Example: 32 lessons
Another possible approach is to concentrate more of the lessons into a shorter period, depending on availability.
Flex 32 is not a separate learning style.
It is still Flex — just with a much larger number of lessons available to schedule.
Flex 32 gives you more control over which available lessons you book and how you distribute them.
The 1-Month Intensive follows a fixed Monday–Thursday class schedule for Beginners 1 or Conversation 1.

Want to understand what you actually do in a Self-Paced class?
Want to see how home study, Workbook, class, and real practice connect?
Choosing your schedule is only one part of learning Japanese at Blue House.
The Japanese you study can also move beyond the textbook and class.
Language Exchange gives you a place to take Japanese you have prepared and try using it in a real conversation with other learners.
You may hear an answer you did not expect, notice where you hesitate, or discover a word or expression you want to learn next.
If speaking itself is your main priority:
Fixed and Flex solve different scheduling needs.
